LeadingBusiness to Create Value

Theenvironment is delicate and must be handled with care or else it canhave catastrophic effects. It is the responsibility of everyindividual to care for the environment. Humans must be friendlytowards the environment to prevent its detrimental impacts. As amatter of fact, international bodies have set up policies to limitadverse human impacts on the environment. One significant impact ofenvironmental unfriendliness entails climate change. The effects ofclimate change have been felt across the globe in various capacities. For instance, global warming and poor air quality have led to deathsin different parts of the world. It is, therefore, paramount todevise mechanisms that would promote positive impacts on theenvironment. In other words, humans should be friendly towards theenvironment.

Outliningplans

Thefirst step, in this case, will be to determine the different ways inwhich people harm the environment. This will be done by clusteringthe negative impacts humans have on the environment.

 Airpollution

 Waterpollution

Deforestation

 Globalwarming

Onecommon query that arises is how humans impact negatively on theenvironment? Apart from that, people wonder how logical are themitigation processes? Therefore, while enlightening the people, itwould be necessary to discuss the four aspects above.

Thecauses of air pollution are quite vast. Starting from industrialeffluents, soot from vehicles, smoking, and dust. As estimated by theWorld Health Organization, air pollution ranks second regardingcausing deaths. Effluents from industries harm the environment aswell as the people around them. In countries such as China, citizensare forced to wear protective masks continuously to protect againstfilthy air. Some of the ways people can reduce air pollution includeadoption and sustenance of electrically powered vehicles, use ofclean energy sources, and conservation of energy among others. Allthese practices focus on impacting positively on the environment.

Waterpollution affects aquatic life and is unfit for human consumption. One core cause of water pollution is industrial effluents. Industriesrelease harmful chemicals that pollute the waters. This can beevidenced by the increased numbers of fish kill events across theglobe. Apart from that, people who depend on the natural source ofwaters like rivers can be harmed. Pollution of the water can beprevented through stringent policies to govern effluents from thecompanies. It is vital to encourage water treatment before releasingto the water bodies.

Deforestationis a common practice, especially in developing countries. Cuttingdown trees without appropriate regulations disturbs the normalenvironmental cycle. As affirmed by scientific research, deforestation plays a significant role in causing droughts or rathera lack of rainfall. Obviously, lack of rainfall is detrimental to theagriculture, and many countries suffer due to hunger.

Globalwarming is one of the most trending norms across the globe. Itentails changing weather patterns thereby disrupting the normal. Theglobal temperatures have been rising even though scientists affirmthat the sun’s intensity has never changed. The major cause ofglobal warming is through the greenhouse gasses which are continuallyincreasing. Human activities such as utilization of fossil fuelscontribute immensely to increasing the CO2 concentration in theatmosphere. Mitigation measures include the adoption of clean energysources such as the wind, water bodies, and solar. Large scale use ofthese measures would reduce the impacts of global warming.

Organizationfeatures

Theorganization will be divided according to the four aspects mentionedabove, i.e. air pollution, water pollution, deforestation, and globalwarming. In other words, each of this docket will have a supervisor. All the supervisors will then report to an overall manager. Thesupervisors will be in charge of the respective teams. Each team willconsist of at least five members who are well acclimatized to theenvironmental issues. Therefore, there will be a total of foursupervisors in charge of roughly five members. Each team would comeup with all the effects related to the respective topic and themitigation measures that can be adopted. Each would answer why it isimportant to have positive impacts on the environment.

Influencesystem

Provisionof an influence diagram to illustrate the structural features of thesituation is vital. Apart from the structural aspects of theenvironment, acts of ensuring the team delivers will be instilled. For instance, appropriate remuneration and motivational techniques tothe team is effective. Promotional activities to incorporate thepeople in this system will also be important. In other words, anymember of the society who participates in environmentally friendlyactivities such as planting trees will be rewarded appropriately.

Controlmechanism

Goodleadership will be essential to maintain a suitable control system. All the team members will be given room to bring out their viewsunder the guidance of the supervisors. An efficient control systemensures the relation between the management team and the team membersperform their work in harmony. The environment is a sensitive matterthat requires all the parties involved to work in harmony. It isevident that some groups are against clean energy sources utilizationdue to the profitable features of fossil fuels. Some big companiesare against adoption of clean energy sources since it would hinderthe manufacture of fossil-related products. Therefore, the controlsystem must harmonize the environmental impact team and the differentindustries involved in pollution.

Justification

Empiricalstudies have illustrated the detrimental effects of human activitieson the environment. The adverse effects vary depending on theactivity. For instance air and water pollution emanate fromindustrial effluents. In addition to that, global warming is as aresult of industrial activities. It is, therefore, crucial to devisemechanisms that negate the different impacts. Provision of aneffective system, as well as a control mechanism, will effectivelychampion the positive impacts on the environment.

Thenecessity to champion social responsibility is the major basis of theabove responses. Protecting the environment is not a government’sduty. All the citizens must play a role in protecting theenvironment. Looking at the trends across the globe, there is theneed to emphasize on proper mechanisms of protecting the environment.Confirmation of the above answers can be traced back on internationalbodies trying to champion environmental friendliness. World leadershave come together to discuss global warming and the policies neededto alleviate the same. Based on their different notions, the abovedocument can assist people to practice activities that are positivelyrelated to the environment.

Ingeneral, any detrimental act on the environment affects the people. If we do not take care of the environment, then people are bound tosuffer the consequences. It is also evident that environmentallyrelated issues are among the leading killer causes across the globe.Hence, everybody must indulge in positive aspects of impacting on theenvironment.
