Welcome to the Ogden Institute of Massage Therapy (OIMT). We congratulate you for embarking on a course of study that will transform your perceptions of the present, and will open new visions for the future.
This catalog is designed to provide you with information about the school and the Massage Therapist program, as well as about the school policies and procedures. It is important to become familiar with them, so please take the time to read and understand this handbook to ensure that the duration of your enrollment is effective and beneficial for everyone. You are encouraged to ask questions anytime concerning our school and these policies and procedures. We welcome any suggestions you may have to continue to improve our program.
The Ogden Institute of Massage Therapy classrooms are located at 705 East 40th South in Ogden Utah; where our facilities of over 2400 square feet are used for Instruction and student clinic. The Ogden Institute of Massage Therapy offices are located at 3500 Harrison Boulevard. At OIMT we utilize a wide range of audiovisual, hands-on, and other types of instructional equipment to enhance learning such as: TV/VCR, overhead projectors, slide projectors, charts, and two full-size skeletons. We also have a private library with many helpful volumes and study materials available for students to check out. Our classroom facilities are handicap accessible and ADA compliant.

The Ogden Institute of Massage Therapy has been in operation since 1997. OIMT is backed by the Chiropractic Health Center that has been in business since 1974. The Chiropractic Health Center has been utilizing massage therapy for many years and is very familiar with this profession and the benefits of massage. |

OIMT requires 44 credit hours, which equates to approximately 720.0 clock hours, to complete the massage program. The duration of this program will require 3 quarters equivalent to 9 Months for the day program and 4 quarters equivalent to 12 months to complete the evening program.
Classes will be held as follows:
Day Classes Evening Classes • Tuesdays: 9:00am-11:00am & 12:00pm-4:00pm 6:00 pm to10:00 pm • Wednesdays: 9:00am-11:00am & 12:00pm-4:00pm 6:00 pm to10:00 pm • Thursdays: 9:00am-11:00am & 12:00pm-4:00pm 6:00 PM to10:00 pm
Student Clinic Hours (120 Required) • Fridays: 12:00pm to 5:00pm • Saturdays: 9:00am-1:00pm or 1:00pm-5:00pm
One ten-minute break is allowed per one hour of instruction. Breaks may be grouped creating a larger sum at one time or allocated separately according to the dictates of the instructor.
Holidays and breaks will be observed as follows:
